Melania Trump expressed “astonishment” that pop superstar Beyonce was given carte blanche by Vogue magazine in 2018, according to NBC News.
“Anna (Wintour) gave the September issue of Vogue cover — complete, complete, complete, everything — to Beyoncé,” the first lady was reportedly recorded telling a former friend and aide in July 2018.
Her predecessor Michelle Obama was on the cover of Vogue three times while Barack Obama was in office. Former first lady Hillary Clinton also appeared in the magazine. Melania, who has modeled, has not graced the pages of the popular fashion mag since her husband took office in 2016.
“She hired black photographer,” Melania said of Beyonce’s cover. “And it’s the first black photographer ever doing cover of Vogue.”
