KANYE WEST RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

Tim Alberta, a Politico reporter and author of “American Carnage,” a book on the rise of Trump, also warned against dismissing West’s potential niche appeal.
But if the race tightens as some analysts predict, even the loss of a relatively small number of young voters to West could make a difference in critical swing states like Arizona and Wisconsin.
The presidential polling geek compared West to Marianne Williamson, the oddball presidential candidate who some Democrats also fretted might mount an independent run for the White House.
Silver also compared the tizzy over West’s announcement to the presidential boomlet enjoyed by attorney Michael Avenatti, the onetime Trump nemesis who is now serving a 40-year prison sentence for extortion and fraud.
West, who once said he would legally change his name to Christian Genius Billionaire, has toyed with a White House run before.
