Following a story in the Washington Post about a Gold Star family that was supposed to receive a $25,000 check from President Donald Trump, that was never sent, the family is reporting that the check has arrived. The Baldridge family, whose son Dillon died in Afghanistan in June, told the Post last week that Trump had called them after Dillon’s death and told them he was writing a $25,000 check. The check never came, Dillon’s father told the Post October 18th. The check was delivered via FedEx on Monday from Trump’s New York address was coincidentally dated October 18th, the same day the Post story ran.
