ENJOYING POST-POLITICAL LIFE, JOHN BOEHNER CALLS TRUMP A “COMPLETE DISASTER”

Former Speaker of the House John Boehner is enjoying his post-political life. Boehner resigned from his position in Congress in 2015 amid turmoil and dysfunction in the Republican party. While speaking at a recent conference in Houston last week he stated “I wake up every day, drink my morning coffee and say, ‘Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah,’ ” In a recent interview with the Associated Press he also shared his thoughts on Trump. Where he credits Trump on foreign policy the Ohio Republican said “Everything else he’s done (in office) has been a complete disaster.” This isn’t the first time Boehner has gone after his own party. When he heard his former colleagues plans to repeal Obamacare, he declared “It’s not going to happen.”

“I drink red wine. I smoke cigarettes. I golf. I cut my own grass. I iron my own clothes. And I’m not willing to give all that up to be president.” – John Boehner
